Metsanurme Village Centre

The main building of Metsanurme village centre is in the old threshing barn, which has been fully restored by the Metsanurme NGO. It contains a room with a fireplace (for max 60 people), the Threshing Room Museum and upstairs there's a seminar room (for about 30 people).

The centre has a Green Way project touchscreen computer and WiFi throughout its territory.

The complex also includes a large village square with an open air stage. You can camp on the square as well as have barbecues and gatherings. There is also a traditional village swing, playground, beach volleyball and basketball courts and an artificial hill that sees a lot of use in winter.

The village centre homestead museum is also the starting and end point of the Metsanurme-Üksnurme history and nature trail, which introduces the varied nature and the history and culture of the area.

Our services:

• Rental of the Threshing Barn rooms for celebrations. Possibility to make coffee, catering is to be booked in advance. Tableware hire. If required, we can assist in organising an entertainer, a band and other entertainment.
• Open-air pavilion and outdoor area hire for outdoor events.
• Hire of pop-up tents for outdoor events (2 tents, 3x3m).
• In cooperation with Rehemetsa farm, rental of camping cabins (17 places) and sauna (15 people).
• Hire of trekking poles.
• Organised hiking - package includes guide service, visit to Rännaku farm, oak grove of the believers of natural religion and Forest Devil; use of the village centre after the hike.
• Catering at the hiking trail rest area (during the hike or as a separate event).
• Estonian evening for foreign groups (local food, music).
• Handicrafts and items with Metsanurme insignia for sale.
• Conducting trainings (team training, communication training, customer service, tourism, etc.).
• SAKUTUUR (SAKU TOUR), a tourism package to promote the local area, in co-operation with partners.
• Class excursion (grades 1-4) on ROBIN'S TRAILS for schools in Tallinn and Harju and Rapla County (with school's own transport).

Metsanurme MTÜ's hikes "Hikes with a guide on the Metsanurme-Üksnurme hiking trail" have been recognised with the EHE (Genuine and Interesting Estonia) ecotourism quality label.
